The privacy news

Good news, no need to change your links and reader subscriptions- this link will remain open and function as the "pre-blog." It will be updated when the private blog is updated and with any other random information. I've imported all my old posts to the private blog as well. As long as you have this link, there will be a way to get to the private blog. For example- click here.

I've sent out the invites, so if I missed you let me know. Or feel free to leave a comment if you want an invite to the "real deal."

Also, some of you asked about google reader. Seriously, if you don't do it, do it, and you'll love it. It probably be easiest for you to just google it to find out about it. Basically it is a place where you can subscribe to all your blogs and see when they are updated all in one place. No more clicking on all the links. It is amazing. You can organize all your websites into different folders too. For example, I have blog folders, photography folders, design folders, cooking folders, and book folders. Once you do it, you'll never know how you functioned with out.

Finally, I know private blogs are not convenient. And I know that the chances of something sinister happening are low, but still. If something did, I would kick myself over and over. So I'll forget convenience and just do it.

Yes, its time to go Private

Alright, I've been thinking about this for a really long time. Just never acted on it. But I think it is time. Yes, this blog has decided to go private. I'm tired of watching what I say and being slightly worried every time I post a picture of my kids (I have way more pictures that need some face time). It is not my nature to worry. But I've had this nagging feeling, that what if- what if the unthinkable happened. I would feel so mad at myself that I didn't follow that nagging. And who knows, maybe I'll change my mind, but for now this is what I want to do.

I know, I know, it is hard because lets face it, I love my google reader and I love finding old friends through blogging. But I think I have an idea that I want to run by you. My SIL has a "pre-blog" which is not private and it is updated every time the "real" thing is updated. I love it. I subscribed to the "pre-blog" in my reader and now I know when she updates and I can just link to the private one from there. Make sense? What do you think?
